The banks of the Seine, the Tuileries...
Sweet escapes from our hotel in the centre of Paris
Visiting Paris also means strolling through its parks, with their uniquely beautiful quality of light. Right by the Hotel Victoria Châtelet, you can stop off in squares in the Ile de la Cité, with the Square du Vert Galant (at the western tip of the island) in memory of Henri IV and his many mistresses, or Square Jean XXIII behind Notre-Dame cathedral. Also nearby, the leafy gardens of the Hôtel de Ville are open on weekends and bank holidays.
There is plenty to see in the Jardin du Luxembourg by the Saint-Germain-des-Prés neighbourhood, 20 minutes' walk from the Victoria Châtelet: exhibitions of photos on the railings, events in summer, concerts in the music kiosk, and much more…
The Jardin des Tuileries on Rue de Rivoli, 15 minutes' walk away connects the Louvre to the Place de la Concorde. Its charming alleys, where you can admire statues by Maillol alongside others by Rodin or Giacometti, are not to be missed. After a good walk, return to the calm and comforts of our 3-star hotel in the centre of Paris.
